Corte Majoli Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG 2021 is an organic Amarone made from Corvina and Rondinella in Valpantena, a valley located northeast of Verona and part of the Valpolicella area. The vineyards grow on calcareous soils rich in organic matter, potassium, calcium and magnesium, and are trained using Guyot and the traditional Veronese inclined pergola system.
After harvest, the grapes undergo the traditional appassimento process in a drying loft at low temperature and controlled humidity, concentrating aromas, flavours and structure. They are then destemmed and crushed, followed by fermentation and maceration in stainless-steel tanks with daily pump-overs. The wine is aged for 48 months in the winery before release.
Deep ruby red with garnet nuances, it offers aromas of sour cherry, dried rose and cocoa. On the palate, it is warm, balanced and enveloping, with soft tannins and the richness expected from Amarone while maintaining elegance and balance.
