Glera is the signature white grape of Prosecco and is grown mainly in Veneto and Friuli-Venezia Giulia. It typically produces fresh, lively wines with green apple, pear, citrus and delicate floral notes, with bright acidity and a light, refreshing character that makes it particularly well suited to sparkling wine production.
