Particella 928 Campania Fiano IGP 2023 by Cantina del Barone comes from a specific vineyard parcel in Cesinali in the Irpinia hills near Avellino, one of the historic territories for the Fiano grape.
The wine originates from the vineyard known as “Particella 928”, replanted in 2001 with a different row orientation designed to ensure uniform sun exposure and optimal grape ripening. The volcanic soils rich in minerals contribute to the wine’s distinctive savory and lightly smoky character.
Fermentation occurs in stainless steel without the addition of selected yeasts, followed by about seven months of aging on fine lees and additional bottle refinement before release.
The result is an expressive and terroir-driven Fiano — fresh, mineral and structured, with citrus, floral and subtle smoky notes supported by vibrant acidity.
