Barolo
Often called the King of Italian wines, Barolo DOCG is produced exclusively from Nebbiolo grapes in the hills of the Langhe in Piedmont. Aged for a minimum of three years — at least two of which in oak — Barolo is a wine of extraordinary complexity, power and longevity. With its iconic aromas of roses, tar, cherry and spice and its firm, age-worthy tannins, a great Barolo can evolve beautifully for decades. The individual communes of Serralunga d'Alba, Castiglione Falletto, La Morra, Barolo and Monforte d'Alba each bring their own distinctive character to this noble wine — making the exploration of Barolo one of the most rewarding journeys in the world of wine.
