Cantina del Barone

Cantina del Barone is a small family winery located in Cesinali in the Irpinia hills near Avellino. The Sarno family has cultivated vineyards in this area for generations, working with a strong focus on traditional farming and minimal intervention.

The vineyards grow on volcanic soils influenced by the nearby Monte Terminio and Monte Partenio mountains, conditions that provide excellent sun exposure and significant temperature variation between day and night.

Cantina del Barone is also among the founding members of the V.I.T.I. association (Vignaioli in Terre d’Irpinia), a group of small producers committed to artisanal winemaking and to preserving the identity of Irpinia’s historic grape varieties.
