Harvest:

Harvest period: end of August. The grapes are hand-picked in small 5 kg crates to protect the fruit’s integrity.

Vinification:

The grapes are hand-harvested at the end of August and undergo cold maceration at 8 °C for about one week to preserve aroma and colour. Fermentation follows at controlled temperatures (20–23 °C) for approximately 40 days, with gentle skin contact to enhance texture and depth. The wine matures in stainless steel tanks, maintaining its youthful freshness and the pure varietal expression of Volturnis.

Tasting Notes:

Bright ruby red with purple reflections. The bouquet opens with notes of cherry, raspberry, and red plum, intertwined with floral tones of rose and violet and a subtle hint of spice. The palate is soft and harmonious, with lively acidity, silky tannins, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Fresh, expressive, and versatile — perfect both on its own and throughout the meal.
