Barbaresco Roncagliette 2023 by Olek Bondonio is a pure Nebbiolo from the historic Roncagliette cru in the southern part of Barbaresco. Sourced from 35-year-old vines at 280 meters above sea level, this wine expresses the calcareous soils and the precision-driven philosophy of one of the most artisanal voices in the denomination.
Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts, followed by approximately one month of skin maceration. The wine ages for 20 months in large oak casks, allowing structure and depth to develop while preserving clarity and site expression.
In youth it is vibrant, structured and firmly tannic; with time it reveals progressive complexity and layered finesse.
