Le More Bianche
Le More Bianche is the small winery of Alessandro Bovio, a grower and winemaker based in Magliano Alfieri, in Piedmont’s Roero hills near Alba. After 15 years working as a consulting winemaker, Alessandro established his own estate in 2015 to make wines that reflect their grape variety, territory and vintage.
The name, meaning “white mulberries”, comes from the centuries-old mulberry tree overlooking the vineyards. In 2013, the birth of his daughter inspired Alessandro to abandon synthetic vineyard treatments. Today, he follows organic farming practices without certification.
In the cellar, spontaneous fermentations and gentle extraction preserve the character of the fruit. Oak casks and ceramic vessels allow the wines to mature while keeping wood influence discreet. The result is a personal interpretation of Roero, rooted in careful farming and precise, thoughtful winemaking.
