This Vin Santo Chianti Classico D.O.C. is a sweet dessert wine that also stands beautifully on its own as a meditation wine. Produced from old vineyards planted with Malvasia and Trebbiano grapes, it undergoes prolonged aging in small 'caratelli' wood barrels, enhancing its depth and complexity. Available in 0.375 L bottles, it pairs exceptionally well at the end of a meal with almond-based dry desserts, and its flavors are further enhanced when served with aged or blue-veined cheeses and traditional cantucci biscuits.

Vinification:

The grapes undergo a traditional drying process on mats from October to January to concentrate their flavors. Following this, the wine is matured in small oak barrels known as caratelli, which contain a bit of madre, the dense residue from previous vintages, enriching the complexity and depth of the final product.

Tasting Notes:

This wine boasts a golden color and offers a highly aromatic nose with hints of flowers, honey, and dried fruit. On the palate, it is sweet, expansive, well-structured, and has a remarkably long finish.
