Blanc de Blancs Dosaggio Zero by Alessandra Divella is an artisanal Metodo Classico sparkling wine produced in Gussago, on the eastern hills of the Franciacorta area in Lombardy. Made from 100% Chardonnay grown on calcareous and clay soils rich in marine fossils, the wine reflects the mineral character of this historic terroir. Fermentation occurs spontaneously with indigenous yeasts in cement tanks, with part of the base wine aged in used tonneaux. The wine then undergoes secondary fermentation in bottle and ages for at least 30 months on the lees before disgorgement without dosage. Production is extremely limited, with only 7,938 bottles produced.

Harvest:

Manual harvest of Chardonnay grapes in early September from hillside vineyards around Gussago at approximately 350–400 meters above sea level.

Vinification:

Soft pressing of hand-harvested Chardonnay grapes followed by spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts in cement tanks, with a portion of the base wine fermented in used wooden tonneaux. Second fermentation in bottle according to the traditional Metodo Classico with at least 30 months on the lees before disgorgement. Bottled without dosage (Dosaggio Zero).

Tasting Notes:

The nose opens with notes of baked bread, pastry and ripe citrus layered with mineral nuances. On the palate the wine is crisp, vibrant and creamy with fine persistent bubbles, bright acidity and a long mineral finish.

Alessandra Divella is a small artisanal winery located in Gussago on the eastern edge of the Franciacorta hills in Lombardy. Founded by Alessandra Divella, a self-taught winemaker who began her project in the mid-2000s with only a few hectares of vineyards, the estate focuses exclusively on traditional-method sparkling wines.

The vineyards are cultivated organically and lie on ancient calcareous and clay soils rich in marine fossils at around 400 meters of altitude. In the cellar Divella follows a minimal-intervention philosophy, using spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts and long aging on the lees to craft complex and expressive wines.

Production remains extremely small, making Alessandra Divella one of the most artisanal and sought-after producers working on the eastern border of the Franciacorta area.
