Alessandra Divella
Alessandra Divella is a small artisanal winery located in Gussago on the eastern edge of the Franciacorta hills in Lombardy. Founded by Alessandra Divella, a self-taught winemaker who began her project in the mid-2000s with only a few hectares of vineyards, the estate focuses exclusively on traditional-method sparkling wines.
The vineyards are cultivated organically and lie on ancient calcareous and clay soils rich in marine fossils at around 400 meters of altitude. In the cellar Divella follows a minimal-intervention philosophy, using spontaneous fermentations with indigenous yeasts and long aging on the lees to craft complex and expressive wines.
Production remains extremely small, making Alessandra Divella one of the most artisanal and sought-after producers working on the eastern border of the Franciacorta area.
