I Vigneri
I Vigneri is the historic wine project led by Salvo Foti on Mount Etna, rooted in the ancient tradition of the Maestranza dei Vigneri, a guild of Etna winegrowers whose origins date back to 1435. The estate works with native Etna varieties such as Carricante, Minnella Bianca, Nerello Mascalese and other local grapes, focusing on traditional viticulture, manual work, natural vineyard practices and minimal intervention in the cellar. The vineyards are cultivated on volcanic soils at high altitude, where lava stone, mountain climate, sea influence and old vines create wines of freshness, minerality and strong territorial identity. I Vigneri is considered one of the reference names for authentic, traditional Etna wines.
