I Forestieri

I Forestieri is a small natural wine project born in Roccatederighi, in the hills of Alta Maremma, from the meeting of Dario, originally from Pisa, and Ezequiel, born in Argentina. Their work began with the recovery of old vineyard parcels around Sassofortino and Roccatederighi, many of them 70 to 80 years old and at risk of being abandoned. Today they cultivate almost 5 hectares of scattered vineyards, set between 200 and 600 metres above sea level, in a landscape of woods, Mediterranean scrub and highly varied soils. Their approach is based on respectful farming, biodiversity, indigenous yeasts and minimal intervention in the cellar, with the aim of preserving these old vineyard “gardens” and expressing the authentic character of this corner of Maremma.
