Tenute Guardasole

Tenute Guardasole is the project of Marco Bui, created with a focused commitment to Alto Piemonte and the historic denomination of Boca. The estate covers approximately two hectares divided into three vineyard parcels along the Traversagna road, the traditional core area of Boca. Originally planted between the late 1800s and early 1900s, the vineyards were restored in 2009 with the two native varieties of the denomination: Nebbiolo and Vespolina.

The philosophy is intentional small-scale production. The winery remains compact, modern and rigorously maintained. Farming is certified organic.

No herbicides are used. Ground cover is managed with minimal intervention, often flattened rather than cut to protect soil balance and reduce disease pressure. Treatments are applied only when strictly necessary. Annual green manure with organic grasses, legumes and crucifers supports soil structure and fertility. Fertilization relies exclusively on organic inputs, with marine limestone used to regulate soil pH.

Guardasole represents a disciplined and organic expression of Boca — volcanic, alpine and built on precision rather than volume.
