Barolo DOCG – Cerretta by Alario Claudio is produced from 100% Nebbiolo grown in the commune of Serralunga d’Alba, one of the most structured and age-worthy areas of the Barolo appellation. The vines, around 30 years old, are trained in Guyot with low yields, allowing for concentration and depth. Harvest takes place in late October, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled rotofermenters for about 15 days. Aging is long and deliberate: 12 months in French barriques (50% new), followed by 12 months in large oak casks and a further 12 months of bottle aging before release. In the glass, Barolo Cerretta shows a ruby red color with garnet reflections, intense aromas of ripe fruit, and a full, enveloping palate with structure, balance, and a long, persistent finish. A classic Serralunga Barolo, built for longevity and expressive of its terroir.
