Brunello Cru La Togata dei Togati is a refined expression of Montalcino, deep ruby red in color with layered notes of berries, balsamic tones, and spice. On the palate, it’s elegant and structured, with persistent, well-balanced tannins.

Eric Guido (Vinous) describes it as “profound and intense, with crushed black cherries, rose petals, ashen stone, and candle wax.” Bright acidity lifts mineral red fruits and citrus spice, finishing with chewy tannins and hints of black cherry and licorice.

Sourced from 20+ year-old vines on Montalcino’s clay-rich hills at 250m altitude, this is a true cru Brunello of character and complexity.

Vinification:

Aged for 36 months in Slavonian oak barrels, with a portion in Barrique and Tonneau, followed by 12 months in small French oak barrels, and refined in the bottle for 6 months. The vineyards, located on Montalcino hills at an average altitude of 250 meters, feature mixed clay soil rich in skeletal fragments and use a bilateral and balanced cordon training system.

Crafted from 100% Sangiovese Grosso, this wine displays a stunning ruby red color with warm garnet hues. The bouquet is ethereal, offering an intense and complex aroma. On the palate, it is full-bodied and well-structured, showcasing an austere and tannic profile that reflects its distinguished character.
