To help the vineyards cope with the stress, they maintained high levels of organic matter and worked the soils to interrupt capillary water loss and protect the vine canopy. It is a revealing example of Il Colle’s philosophy: adapting the work in the vineyard to the conditions of each year rather than forcing a predetermined style.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"\"\u003eThe wine is intense and structured, with notes of \u003cstrong\u003epomegranate, plum, juniper, orange blossom, sandalwood, sage and pepper\u003c\/strong\u003e.
