Cà dei Conti - Veneto

A masterpiece from the hills of Valpolicella, crafted with the finest grapes and the ancient art of appassimento. After careful hand-harvesting and a meticulous drying process, the wine undergoes a slow fermentation and aging in French and American oak barriques for four years, followed by additional refinement in the bottle.

With its deep garnet-red hue, this Amarone offers an intense and enveloping bouquet of black cherry, wild strawberry, dried fruit, cocoa, and delicate spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied and persistent, with velvety tannins and a rich, elegant structure. A perfect companion to hearty dishes, aged cheeses, and moments of pure indulgence.

HARVEST:

The grapes for Tano Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG come from vineyards located at 400 meters above sea level in the Cà Dei Conti estate, owned by the Rancan family. The harvest is done manually in late October, with careful selection of the best bunches placed in 5 kg crates. The grapes then undergo a drying process for about three months in a drying room with optimal temperature, humidity, and ventilation conditions.

VINIFICATION:

Crushing begins between January and February, with destemming and maceration on the skins for about two weeks at 8°C. Fermentation continues at 20°-23°C, with gentle and continuous movement of the skins for approximately one month. The wine is then separated from the skins and gently pressed. It is transferred to French and American oak barriques, where it completes alcoholic and malolactic fermentation over four years, followed by about one year of bottle aging.

TASTING NOTES:
