Tenuta di Valgiano - Tuscany

 

"Mazzapink Toscana Rosso - 2023‎" is a collaborative effort between Tenuta di Valgiano in Tuscany and the neighboring San Pietro estate in Marcigliano. Grapes from San Pietro's organically grown vineyards, situated 250 meters above sea level, undergo hand-harvesting, destemming, and crushing before fermenting in small vats. Aging takes place partially in tanks and partially in barrels. This fragrant red wine offers cleanliness, agility, and a fruit-forward profile, featuring aromas of strawberry, raspberry, olives, wild herbs, and pepper. The palate is supple and juicy, with silky tannins framing the experience.

VINIFICATION:

Destemming and foot pressing in small vats have become customary for this new "nectar." A small amount of sulfur is added at bottling time, while maturation occurs in large cement vats for six months.

TASTING NOTES:

A fragrant, clean, agile red wine, entirely focused on fruitiness, vinous, rich in nuances. It evokes aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and olives, with hints of wild herbs and pepper. The palate is supple, juicy, framed by silky tannins.
