The Macenere Toscana Rosso is a pure Sangiovese from the hills of Lucca, aged for 14 months in barrels. It showcases a brilliant ruby red hue, indicative of its quality. Crafted from the finest Sangiovese grapes, this wine is both soft and enveloping, characterized by silky, gentle yet powerful tannins. It concludes with a vibrant and exceptionally long finish. "Macenere" pairs wonderfully with meat dishes and aged cheeses, perfectly enhancing the flavors with its robust and rich profile.

VINIFICATION:

The wine undergoes a 10-12 day fermentation process in steel vats using selected yeasts. Daily pump-overs and rackings ensure optimal flavor and color extraction. After fermentation, the wine is aged in large barrels for 18 months and then refined in the bottle for an additional 3 months to enhance its complexity and character.

TASTING NOTES:

This wine presents a rich ruby red color. It offers a broad and persistent aroma, distinctly fruity with delightful hints of blueberries, sour cherries, and cherries, complemented by pleasant notes of violet. On the palate, it is balanced with a good structure, featuring silky tannins. The finish is vibrant and long-lasting, leaving a lasting impression.
